We work closely with the staff of Limerick Prison, to ensure parents receive the tools needed to parent from prison. We have designed a ‘ family course ‘ in conjunction with Patchwork Play for parents who a currently serving a sentence. This is called ‘ Playful Reconnections – Parenting inside’
Pre Covid we supported family visits in the Sitting Room. We in conjunction with Tusla won the ‘ Investing in Children Award’ for our work with families within the prison. We are delighted that this service has returned in recent months.
Preparing a family for the release of a family member is vital, as this transition can be difficult for everyone. Family Support is vital at this time.
