On Tuesday 4 Mar, John Delaney Chief Executive Officer of the Football Association of Ireland, will present tickets to parents and staff of Bedford Row for the Ireland – Serbia Match which is on in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin the following day 5 Mar 14. Read about FAI support for our Project here. The day promises to be a great day out for children, their parents, staff and other invited guests. We are delighted that John has taken the time to visit us, granted us the tickets, see the fruits of both FAI and Limerick Regeneration investment in our Children’s Groups, hear at first hand the kind of work that is going on in the Project, and how football fits so well into our model.
This day has come about as a result of FAI Regional Manager Tom O’Shea’s endorsement of Football Coach Declan Considine’s ongoing involvement with Bedford Row, and, of course, Declan’s own belief in the power of sport to foster a sense of belonging and achievement in the children.
