Project Evaluation Report

Today in Bedford Row we launched our Evaluation Report which was completed last year and covered the years 2009-2011 inclusive.

The Full Evaluation Report can be read here which includes the more accessible Executive Summary, (the first 9 pages).

We were delighted to have, in attendance, the Mayor of Limerick Cllr Gerry McLoughlin and Governor of Limerick Prison Eamonn Mullane, a large gathering of friends and colleagues, a wide section of people who gave so generously and patiently to the Evaluation, as well as staff and Board members.

The Evaluation was launched by Judge Michael Reilly, the Inspector of Prisons. Bedford Row were delighted that Judge Reilly, who has a long record of involvement in supporting innovative methods of intervention that make a difference to prisoners and their families, agreed to launch the Evaluation.

During his speech he referred to the need for further support to groups such as Bedford Row who assist families, as well as the necessity to maintain high standards in prisons, and prisoners’ dignity in general.

During the launch we showed a short DVD. (Available on our website – see top right of each page)

Overall the morning was a great success and was a significant morale boost to all involved in Bedford Row
