We are delighted to state that Bedford Row Traveller Drive Initiative, in conjunction with the Limerick and Clare Educational and Training Board, has won a national award!
The Aontas Star Award for Outstanding Contribution to Adult Learning was achieved, on the 2nd March 2020, following an interview with a panel of judges representing the Department of Education & Skills, the Open University & the European Social Fund.
This learner-centred programme was devised following consultation with travellers and assisted all age groups in that community to return to education and attain licences, fostering a sense of achievement and ownership, opening the door to return to education and increased employability, as well as fostering good relationships with participant users.
